YMCA Preschool/Child Care

Monday - Friday
6:00 am - 5:30 pm
The Freeman Southwest Family YMCA Preschool is a licensed year-round preschool inside the Neosho YMCA for children ages 2-5. Depending on the age of the child, there are three classes with trained teachers for the best learning and growing experience. Children are introduced to all Kindergarten readiness skills through the use of Creative Curriculum for Preschoolers. This curriculum will make the transition from Preschool to Kindergarten smooth for you and your child.
Gross motor activities and social interactions are emphasized. Children learn their numbers, letters, basic self-help skills, participate in arts & crafts and work on skills to prepare them for school.
Breakfast, lunch and a snack are provided. Children 3 & up go swimming and use the gym to stay active. Swim lessons are available.

Full time Students attend Monday through Friday
Part time Students Attend M/W/F or T/TH

State Pay is accepted and Scholarships are available.

Child Watch

Available to watch children 6 weeks to 7 years while parents use the YMCA facility, up to 2 hours at a time. Monday-Friday

Member fee: $1.00/child per visit
Community Participant fee: $7.00/child per visit

YMCA After school Program at Neosho R-5 Elementary Schools

After school care is available for any child in the Neosho school district who needs a place to belong after school until 6:00 pm. Children will participate in a variety of activities, sports, homework help and receive snack. One day a week your child will go to the YMCA and do a variety of activities. Food and Fun curriculum is introduced to teach your child healthy cooking ideas and hands on demonstrations. Program also includes CATCH health & wellness curriculum and Kidz Math. The After school Program is offered at the Neosho R-5 elementary schools. State pay is accepted. No child will be turned away due to inability to pay, scholarships are available.
$25.00 Registration Fee
Member fee: $30.00 per week
Community Participant fee: $45.00 per week

Middle School After school Program
Calling all Middle Schooler’s!! Come to the YMCA everyday. Homework help, tutoring and snack at the school and then come to the Y for fun activities until 6:00 pm.
FREE PROGRAM - Register at the Middle School.

YMCA Summer Day Camp starts May 24th!

Fun filled weeks of activities, games and field trips. Plan ahead this summer and register your
children to Summer Day Camp. Ages 5-12 are
welcome. Child must have completed kindergarten. Ask about the family discount. All campers receive a gym bag &
t-shirt A late charge will be added to those who register on Mondays for the current week.

Week 1: May 24th - 28th “Catch the Spirit - Camp Kick - off ” Its time to meet & get to know all your fellow YMCA campers.  We will create banners, songs, cheers and a mascot to promote camp pride!

 

Week 2: June 1st - 4th “Super Heroes” Join us for a week of traveling to meet all the “Super Heroes” of our area. We will learn about the

heroes and see what makes them so special!

 

Week 3: June 7th - 11th “Creepy Crawly Creatures” Nature week is here! Let’s hit the road and travel to exotic places.  We will learn about all about the Creepy Crawly Creatures that surround us.

 

Week 4: June 14th - 18th “Sports of all Sorts” If you like sports this is definitely the week for you!  This week is packed with non-stop

action! Be sure to get a good night’s sleep and eat your Wheaties.

 

Week 5: June 21st - 25th “The Skies the limit” Whether you’re

interested in aviation or a shooting star, you won’t be disappointed this week!

 

Week 6: June 28th - July 2nd “Gamesapalooza” Get ready to PLAY! Every game you can imagine we will be play.

 

Week 7: July 5th - 9th “Holidayze” It’s the middle of summer, but we’ll be partying like its Christmas, St. Patrick’s Day & maybe even Groundhog’s Day. And don’t forget your red, white and blue at the end of the week!

 

Week 8: July 12th - 16th “YMCA’s Got Talent” Do you have what it takes to make it BIG? This is the week for you shining stars!!

 

Week 9: July 19th - 23rd “Lets Get Cooking” We will learn how to create it all! From breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack . Learn all the tricks of the trade from local restaurants.  

 

Week 10: July 26th - 30th “Go Green” Let’s make the earth a better place this week by doing your part!   

 

Week 11: August 2nd - 6th “Water Works” Bust out your Super Soakers and get ready for a Wet n’ Wild week  . 

 

Week 12: August 9th - 13th “Camp Rewind” Let’s end camp with all the fun and exciting things we did the past 11 weeks.
